Alon Burstein is a native Jerusalemite, who holds a Bachelor's degree (Political Science and History of the Jewish People) and a Master's degree (Political Science) from the Hebrew University, and another Master's degree (Public Policy and Public Administration) from Concordia University. His research examines different ways in which terror groups incorporate religion into their ideology as a facet of explaining their overall activity. His first two articles have been published in the journals Terrorism and Political Violence and Studies in Conflict and Terrorism.
