Alon Burstein is a native Jerusalemite, and is the receiver of the President Scholarship at the Hebrew University. He holds a Bachelor's degree (Political Science and History of the Jewish People) and a Master's degree (Political Science) from the Hebrew University, as well as another Master's degree (Public Policy and Public Administration) from Concordia University. His research examines different ways in which terror groups incorporate religion into their ideology as a facet of explaining their overall activity. His first articles have been published in the journals Terrorism and Political Violence, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism and the Journal of Israeli Studies.
