Dr. Podoksik is a graduate of the Hebrew University and of the University of Cambridge, he specializes in political thought and the history of ideas.
Dr. Podoksik was born in Leningrad, the Soviet Union, and made Aliyah to Israel in 1991. His Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and in 2002 he received his Doctorate from the University of Cambridge. Between 2002 and 2004 he taught political thought at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, and since 2004 has been teaching political thought in the Political Science Department at Hebrew University. He specializes in the history of political thought and the history of ideas- specifically of contemporary Germany and England- and in political theory, specifically on the concepts of freedom and nationalism.
